Not for investors with PTP K-1s,

I bought this program because I used Tax Cut last year and it did what I wanted at a lower price than TurboTax. I thought the same would be true this year but I found out that it cannot completely handle K-1s from publicly traded partnerships. It seems to work OK unless you have other income then it erroneously offsets that income. Otherwise, it seems to work well except it could benefit from better search capabilities when you bring up the forms and other tax topics.

I have used the Block tax preparation packages for years and have been quite satisfied with the result and ease of use. For a couple of years I used the high-end version to do fiduciary (estates & trusts) returns as well as personal returns. The packages worked well - even with some odd-ball state return issues. When I had problems (rare), Block's tech support was quite good.
